Thanks to the money-grubbing ways of game developers, the console wars became ferocious in 2023, which resulted in back-to-back releases that were mostly decent. If you are a little low on cash because you're an adult, don't worry. The prices of these games and accessories have been nearly cut in half and they're only about a year old.

Walmart is being generous and letting this premium controller go for nearly half the price. Since the PS4/Xbox One era, gaming controller prices have skyrocketed. If you've ever been the type to rip a controller apart after dying in a game repeatedly to no fault of your own, you get why a cheap controller is a big deal.

For the price of a large pizza and sides, you could take home the Witcher 3 Wild Hunt Complete Edition. The Witcher is an iconic RPG that follows the story of Geralt, a rugged monster hunter who trained since childhood. Become a master in combat, sorcery, archery and most importantly of all-monster tracking.
The Witcher had a profound effect on gamers. So much so that it was remade to run on the Xbox Series X despite being released to the former Xbox One in 2015. While developers of CD Project Red have had a rocky career with its games, safe to say it totally nailed this one the first time.

WWE2K 24-$50
WWE games aren't like most other sports games-especially since 2K sports assumed control of the franchise in 2013 debuting its first game WWE2k 14.
Now here we are nearly a decade later with no desire to turn back. WWE2K 24 may be the most realistic wrestling game in existence, which is ironic because WWE is completely fake. Players can control their superstars like virtual action figures, for example, and cause two tag team partners to split up and become rivals.
In addition, players decide who wins which titles, who advances to Wrestlemania, and who is allowed to sucker punch another wrestler as they make their way6 to the ring.

Minecraft-$15
It's Minecraft's 15th birthday. There's no doubt that Mojang's masterpiece is one of, if not, the most popular video game in the world. If you're a gamer you've definitely played Minecraft at one point.
The game is the ultimate RPG and doesn't hold the player's hand. There is no tutorial, no map, and no sense of structure in this game. Although developers have added a craft guide in recent years OG players remember the pain of having to memorize recipes for basic necessities to avoid dying of starvation or a witch spell.
In celebration of Minecraft's birthday, the already inexpensive game received a massive price cut likely because Xbox was the first console to ever feature the game.

Dead Space Remake-$30
Dead Space was prime nightmare fuel in the late 2000s, featuring grotesque aliens who won't die unless you shoot off their limbs. Seems simple until one is leaping at you in a pitch-black room.
The remake, released last year, made the original look utterly harmless. Updated graphics showcasing disgusting monsters, reworked sections that add more of a realistic touch and improved voice acting that makes the player believe they are truly a space engineer trapped in a destroyed ship with fanged aliens.

Resident Evil 4 Remake-$30
Resident Evil 4 was the first game in the franchise to feature a third-person shooter experience. RE one through three were 2D adventures that included a loading screen every time the player entered or left a building.
RE 4 follows the story of Secret Service agent Leon Kennedy who's tasked with rescuing the president's daughter from a Spanish cult, which utilizes the sadistic powers of the T-virus. Leon must trek across unknown territory and face horrific human-turned-monsters in order to survive and avoid corruption.

This item is still a bit on the pricey side, but some may argue it's worth it. Created specifically for the Xbox Series X, these completely block out sound for the ultimate audio experience.
These are said to put you in the middle of your game as if you are the protagonist. Perfect for action games like Call of Duty or Fallout 4 as well as horror games like Dead Space and Outlast. Having good headphones while playing horror games is an ideal move as it gives the player a chance to hear the enemy before they're ambushed
