CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – The 22News Storm Team issued a Weather Alert Thursday for the chance of scattered strong to severe thunderstorms.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms could happen at any time on Thursday. The best chance seems to be the middle of the day between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Be ready for the chance of heavy rain and lightning with these storms.

The primary hazards with Thursday’s storms are damaging wind and hail. Have an indoor alternative to any outdoor plans you have. The best chance for storms will be the further south and east you are. High temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s.
