(FOX40.COM) — The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office recently premiered season two of ‘Recruits,’ a video series that documents the experiences of its officers in training.

Episode one premiered on Facebook on May 16 and introduces three new recruits who have plans to be SCSO deputies.

“So far the sheriff’s academy is like drinking through a fire hose,” said SCSO recruit, Hartmann, in the 11-minute premiere episode. “It’s a lot of information thrown at you all at the exact same time and you have to remember everything. Everything has to be thought out perfectly all while you’re being screamed at.”

The video shows trainees in mock situations that involve suspects with guns to their heads, vehicle chases, and other high-risk situations.

“You’re in a fight for your life, so be aggressive,” a SCSO trainer told a recruit in episode one. “In law enforcement, we have to press the gas and hit the brakes a lot in our aggression, de-escalation, all of that stuff.”
