    Baseball: Pairings, results, recaps for the PIAA District One playoffs

    The PIAA District One baseball pairings feature the 24-team Class 6A (big-school) bracket. Class 5A and 6A begin Monday, with most other classifications starting Tuesday.

    Here are the games, along with previews and recaps:

    PIAA District One Class 6A

    (top six advance to states)

    First round, Monday

    (all games at 4 p.m. unless otherwise noted)

    Souderton (No. 17) at Avon Grove (16): Souderton last qualified for states in 2019, when it finished fifth at districts en route to a state title.

    Council Rock North (24) at Wissahickon (9): CR North ended up second at districts and won two games in the state playoffs in 2018.

    Coatesville (20) at Spring-Ford (13)

    West Chester Henderson (21) at Lower Merion (12)

    Pennridge (18) at Haverford (15): The Rams made districts for the first time since 2016, when they won the tournament under Tom Nuneviller as a No. 17 seed.

    Council Rock South (23) at Garnet Valley (10): The Golden Hawks took second in the 2012 4A district playoffs, then reached the state championship game where they lost to La Salle.

    Ridley (19) at North Penn (14): The Knights finished third at districts a year ago on the way to the state semifinals.

    Boyertown (22) at Pennsbury (11): The Falcons ended up fourth at districts in 2022 to make states.

    Second round , Wednesday

    No. 16/17 winner at Quakertown (1): The Panthers won their first Suburban One League Liberty Division title in six seasons and are hoping to become the first baseball team in school history to qualify for the PIAA state championships.

    No. 9/24 winner at Downingtown East (8)

    No. 13/20 winner at Owen J. Roberts (4)

    No. 12/21 winner at Plymouth Whitemarsh (5)

    No. 15/18 winner at Neshaminy (2): Neshaminy earned the SOL Patriot Division title for its first league crown since taking the SOL National in 2013. It won the 2021 district title and a game at states.

    No. 10/23 winner at Central Bucks East (7): The Patriots picked up their first SOL Colonial crown since 2013 and are eyeing a first trip to states in school history.

    Plumstead Christian (4) at Faith Christian (1): Faith secured three straight Class A district championships from 2017-19.

    Delco Christian (3) at Dock Mennonite (2): Dock won the Class A district title a year ago after securing the previous five AA crowns. It also picked up A championships in 2015-16, giving the Pioneers a streak of eight in a row.

    District 11 Class 2A

    (winner advances to states)

    Quarterfinals, Wednesday

    Shenandoah Valley (6) at Palisades (3), 4 p.m.: The Pirates fell to Schuylkill Haven 4-1 in the 2A semifinals a year ago after beating Williams Valley 7-3 in the quarterfinals.

    Semifinals, May 26

    Palisades-Shenandoah Valley winner vs. Tri-Valley (2)
