FLORENCE, Mass. (WWLP) – It was another cool and rainy day across western Massachusetts.

150 years since Mill River flood in Hampshire County

No question about it we’ve seen quite a bit of rain this spring. Thursday was rainy and cool but that didn’t keep some people from going for a walk at Look Park in Florence. This spring we have been getting quite a bit of wet weather.

22News Storm Team Meteorologist Chirs Bouzakis said, “March was well above average, we had just a little over 6 inches of rain. April was just about 4 inches, a little around 3.94 inches and so far for the month of May we’re at 2.9 inches. So put all together we’re just under 13 inches between March and today.”

If you were driving on Thursday, the rain did reduce visibility a bit on the highways but the benefit to all this rain is that everything is looking nice and green. The rain is getting lighter and it looks like we will have some drier weather for the end of the workweek.
