Combs, who is getting his own exhibit in the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum this summer , unleashed the debut Twisters single, “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma,” with an accompanying music video on Thursday (May 16). The video Alex Bittan -directed video features a cameo from NASCAR race driver John Hunter Nemechek , interspersed with snippets of footage from the upcoming Twisters movie. The music video was filmed in Nashville, Tennessee.
“I keep chasin’ that same old devil down the same old dead end highway/ Ridin’ that storm runnin’ through my veins like a shot down tail spun airplane/ Scared of nothin’ and I’m scared to death/ I can’t breathe then I catch my breath/ But I keep chasin’ that same old devil down the same old dead end highway
“Ain’t no love in Oklahoma/ Just the whistle of a long black train/ You’ll know when it’s comin’ for ya/ Ridin’ in on the wind and rain”
The Lee Isaac Chung -directed film will serve as “an update to the 1996 film 'Twister', which centered on a pair of storm chasers who risk their lives in an attempt to test an experimental weather alert system,” rads its description on IMDb. The movie stars Glen Powell , Katy O’Brian and Daisy Edgar-Jones , among others. Twisters — and the album — will arrive on July 19.
