    Local sheriff’s office hires two new deputies

    LISBON, Ohio (WKBN)- The Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office announced that they have hired two new deputies.

    Youngstown man accused of bringing guns to Pittsburgh airport

    According to a Facebook post , Brian Kavanagh and Robert Debiec are now deputies.

    Columbiana County Sheriff Brian McLaughlin said that Brian Kavanagh was hired on May 4. He was an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper of the Lisbon Post for 14 years.

    McLaughlin said that Robert Debiec was hired on Monday. Debiec was previously an officer with the Hubbard Police Department for three years.

    With the hires, two deputy positions are still available. Applicants can download the application on the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office website. Completed applications can be emailed to sheriff@ccclerk.org.
