SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — After the Nebraska Primary Elections, there is a clear picture of who will face off in the November election, including for the Nebraska legislature.

Two races for the Nebraska Unicameral took place Tuesday for seats to represent parts of Siouxland. Those seats are for Nebraska Legislature District 17 and District 19 in Siouxland.

Winning in District 17 is Mike Albrecht with 40% and Glen Meyer with 32%.

In District 19, Jeanne Reigle and incumbent Rob Dove won with with 39% and 36% respectively.

The Nebraska legislature, being non-partisan, uses a top-two primary to determine who faces off in November. A top-two primary is where all candidates who filed are listed in the primary with the top two vote getters then facing off in November.

When elected, state senators hold their seats for four years. Elections for state senators are voted on every two years.
