Way Too Early 2025 NFL Draft Tight End Rankings

The 2024 NFL Draft is in the books which means we don’t have anything football related to be excited about for a few months. As we gear up for next football season, I’m going to be releasing my way too early 2025 NFL Draft rankings to get you up to speed on the prospects you need to know. Next up on the list is the tight end rankings. Enjoy them and feel free to comment on any disagreements you have.

Just a heads up from me. The rest of the positions are just going to be top ten. I went more expansive for the quarterbacks , running backs , and wide receivers . I need to start transitioning into fantasy content and do ten tight ends from any given draft class ever make a big impact? Just not a talent rich position so I’m just going to do five the rest of the way here.

    10: Gee Scott (Ohio State)

This is your Cade Stover replacement this year. Actually had some nice receptions during the Spring game this year. Recruited as a wide receiver but is settled in as a tight end now. Looks like he will be reliable running those intermediate routes along the middle of the field this year. Don’t exactly have a big sample size to work with but good enough to crack the list.

    9: Jake Johnson (North Carolina)

6-foot-6, 240, and a former four star recruit that’s now found his way to Chapel Hill. Johnson was actually semi productive at Texas A&M despite the mess there. Struggled to stay on the field sometimes but certainly has an opportunity to do something at UNC. His brother also transferred to UNC. Had his moments in the SEC and pretty impressive in the open field.

    8: Dillon Bell (Georgia)

I’m putting Dillon Bell here. I have no idea what he is but we’re going to call him a tight end for this exercise. Bell is basically the better version of Jaheim Bell. Probably needs to pack on more weight but this guy has been used as a running back at Georgia before. He’s just a trusted weapon for them and his role should grow with no Brock Bowers on the roster. He will do some things that helps Georgia win this year. Just don’t be surprised when it happens. You can tell they love him.

    7: Mitchell Evans (Notre Dame)

The 6-foot-5, 260 pound tight end from Notre Dame cracks the list here. We’ve seen players in that mold before. We’ll see how good Evans really is this year. Last year was his only real year of production. 2024 will go a long way in proving just how good this iteration of the Notre Dame tight end really is.

    6: Caden Prieskorn (Ole Miss)

Dude went nuts in the Bowl game last year. Spent three years at Memphis but his SEC debut last year was fairly impressive. Probably would have been taken fairly high in the 2024 Draft. On the older side but a big body and notched 449 yards and four scores last year. He takes that up a notch and we might really have something here. Ole Miss is expected to be really good this year too.

    5: Bryson Nesbit (North Carolina)

I’m a bit confused as to what to do with the UNC guys. Bryson Nesbit was productive last year. He’s been over 500 yards two years in a row but now Johnson is there to take his job. Will both play? This one needs to simmer and play out a bit but Nesbit has some raw talent that is intriguing.

    4: Luke Lachey (Iowa)

This is one I’ll watch more closely this year. Iowa’s offense is so brutal that it’s hard to know what to do with them. I mean… the guy had 10 receptions last year. We also know that Iowa is a mini tight end factory and the ones they produce are usually pretty good. Former four star guy out of high school listed at 6-foot-6, 253. Hopefully, Iowa gets the offense cooking a bit more this year and we can see what Lachey brings to the table.

    3: Brant Kuithe (Utah)

I will not forget what this dude did two years ago when healthy. Are we just going to forget that Kuithe was the starter over Dalton Kincaid? The guy is a really talented natural receiver. Bit on a skinnier side and might not be a real tight end. Still can really catch the ball. He stays healthy and gets back on track, I’m in. I hope that’s the case for this year.

    2: Colston Loveland (Michigan)

Forget about that bum AJ Barner. This is the real Michigan tight end you need to know about. 6-foot-5, 245, and first team All Big 10 as a sophomore. Had 649 yards in a limited passing offense at Michigan. Made his presence known as a go to target. Former converted receiver and four star guy in high school. I think he’s really good. I’m just not sure how good is really good. We’ll find out this year.

Way Too Early 2025 NFL Draft Wide Receiver Rankings

    1: Oscar Delp (Georgia)

Georgia has better players than you do. As soon as you learn and accept that the better off we’ll all be. Of course, Delp tops the list. Why wouldn’t he? No, we haven’t totally seen it yet but he was really impressive during relief duty for Bowers this year. Now he takes over as the full time starter this year. His numbers should take off. Even putting the numbers aside, he kinda looks like Bowers’ brother except maybe a tad less mean running in the open field. I just hope you’re prepared for what’s to come.
