Summary: While most of the region missed out on elevated severe storms yesterday, there were a few areas that did receive hail. Some pocket change up to quarter sized near Potosi and up to Tennis ball sized hail out in Ranger in Eastland county. Temperatures today will be cooler following the front with partly sunny skies and a small chance of some light rain showers, not enough to warrant the windshield wipers though. Heading into this weekend that is a different story. More widespread chances for showers and (non-severe) thunderstorms will be back this busy weekend. With areas still recovering from last weeks rain event, some areas could see an increasing concern for flash flooding. Then we see the skies clear with a cold front allowing temperatures to climb back into the 80’s before see rain chances return by the middle of next week. So make sure to schedule some indoor activates for graduations and mother’s day events if possible. While not anticipating severe storms, a few storms could be strong enough to see small hail with stronger storms.

Today: Partly sunny with a light breeze into the afternoon with a chance for some light mist/drizzle. High Temperature: 78° Winds: ENE 5-15 G 20 MPH

Tonight: Mostly cloudy tonight with thunderstorms and showers building into the overnight/pre-dawn Saturday morning. Low Temperature: 61° Winds: E 5-10 MPH
