There is still no word on exactly how many, but mail-in ballots that went missing in Oglethorpe County have been found. The US Postal Service is getting the blame for the issues with the ballots in Oglethorpe County.

    From the Georgia News Network…

Election officials claim ballots missing from Oglethorpe County were found and they blame the US Postal Service for mishandling them.

While the exact number of lost ballots and the length of time they were missing remains unclear, officials with Georgia’s Secretary of State’s office made the announcement Monday. The incident raises many concerns, according to 11 Alive, as the primary date for local and state elections approaches on May 21.

Lawmakers, including Senator Jon Ossoff and Congressman Mike Collins, questioned Postmaster General Louis DeJoy on Capitol Hill weeks ago, joining several other states in expressing dissatisfaction with the USPS’s dismal performance and lack of transparency in addressing lengthy mail delays.

The Postal Service continues to claim that operations are improving, but affected individuals are encouraged to contact their local congress representative with their concerns.
