Section of Lee Rd. 182 to close on May 13 for culvert replacement

LEE COUNTY, Ala. ( WRBL ) – The Lee County Highway Department is set to close a portion of Lee Road 182 to traffic for culvert replacement starting May 13.

The road will close at 8:30 a.m. and reopen after four days. The section of Lee Road 183 that will close is nearly 0.3. miles north of the intersection of Lee Road 158 and Lee Road 182.

The Lee County Highway Department provided the following detour route for motorists who regularly travel on Lee Road 183:

For drivers traveling south –

Traffic wanting to travel south on Lee Road 182 will be detoured as follows: at the junction of Lee Road 182 and Lee Road 390, travel east on Lee Road 390 approximately 0.5 miles to the junction of Lee Road 390 and Lee Road 252; thence, turn right onto Lee Road 252 and travel south approximately 2.1 miles to the junction of Lee Road 252 and Lee Road 158; thence, turn right onto Lee Road 158 and travel west approximately 1.5 miles to the junction of Lee Road 158 and Lee Road 182.

For drivers traveling north –

Traffic wanting to travel north on Lee Road 182 will follow the same route; however, the route will be traveled in the opposite direction. Detour signs will be in place for public convenience.
