FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Video obtained by ABC News shows a dump truck’s trailer breaking off into traffic after hitting an overhead support beam on a section of Interstate 66 West in Fairfax County.

On Monday, May 6, at around 3:30 p.m., Virginia State Police responded to a crash in the westbound lanes of I-66, at the Fairfax County Parkway overpass, where a dump truck had been traveling west on I-66.

According to authorities, the vehicle’s trailer was upright and struck the overhead support beam for the westbound I-66 to southbound Fairfax County Parkway ramp, which caused the trailer to break off and land in the travel lane.
