What we're tracking: High temperatures topping 100 degrees will be possible for some in the western Crossroads today and tomorrow. Read on in the next section to see if you qualify hitting 100. Heat indices (feels like temperatures) will surpass 100 degrees for nearly all of the Crossroads today and tomorrow with humidity still in place. A cool front arriving overnight Thursday night will bring some heat relief dropping highs back into the 80s. An isolated shower or weak thunderstorm is possible ahead of the front on Thursday night and during the day on Friday, but currently very unlikely. Thunderstorm chances greatly increase for Mother's Day and the following Monday. Severe weather appears unlikely at the moment.

Next 24 hours: Warm to hot weather continues today with 100 degrees possible for some in Bee and Karnes county. Heat indices will likely surpass 100 degrees for most of the Crossroads today and tomorrow. In Victoria, Mostly cloudy skies in the morning will likely decrease to partly cloudy skies in the afternoon bringing highs in the low 90s. Cloud cover increasing tonight will keep our lows in the mid to upper 70s again before heating up again tomorrow. 100s are possible again tomorrow this time for Bee, Karnes, Dewitt, and Goliad counties. Mid 90s are possible in Victoria county.

Extended forecast: High temperatures cool (some) back into the mid 80s for a couple days after the cool front Thursday night but we begin warming up again possibly back to the 90s going into late next week. Thunderstorms are likely on Mother's Day and the next Monday with rain chances dimming on Tuesday.
