The NBA has officially spoken on the punishment and solution of Jamal Murray's acts in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semi-Finals. Murray is under major scrutiny for throwing a heating pad into the field of play, which could have resulted in a major injury.

While Murray wasn't assessed a technical foul or reprimanded for his actions, the play was later on reviewed after the game. League officials spoke on the behavior of Murray, explaining that he would have received a tech if they had caught him in the act.

They continued with a response that Muray would not have been ejected from the game, since he didn't attempt to throw it directly at someone. Him throwing it into the vicinity, rather than targeting someone would help him escape ejection.

There was clear frustration from Murrayl, given a poor shooting night with eight points, but this was completely unnecessary.

The NBA will likely review the play in detail and reveal a potential fine or suspension for Murray.
