Two Cherokee County School District leaders were recently honored by a community nonprofit organization for supporting children in need.

CCSD Student Support Specialist Tara Quinn-Schuldt and Teasley Middle School Assistant Principal John Carter were named as the recipients of the 2024 Goshen Spirit Award presented by Goshen Valley.

The award was established to honor individuals who “have given unreservedly of themselves, their time and their talents to support the youth of Goshen Valley.”

The organization provides homes and support services for foster youth.

The presentations to eight honorees, including Quinn-Schuldt and Carter, were made by Goshen Valley CEO Zach Blend during the organization’s spring luncheon in Canton.
