    Chesterfield County Police searching for suspect in alleged auto and credit card fraud

    CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Chesterfield County Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in solving a fraud incident.

    At approximately 8 p.m., on Feb. 24, an auto and credit card fraud occurred in the area of Route 1 and Walmsley Boulevard in Chesterfield County.

    According to police, the suspect entered into a fenced area of a repair shop, breaking multiple car windows and stole a credit card, as well as other miscellaneous items.

    It was later found that the suspect used the credit card at a gas station to put gas in a dark blue Honda Civic with no license plate in the front.

    Police described the suspect to be a black male, that was wearing a black beanie and a gray-black jacket.
