    Isolated storms moving through north Georgia

    Isolated severe storms are popping up in north Georgia Monday night. Several severe thunderstorm warnings were issued earlier this evening.

    The storms kick off what Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz said is an active weather week.

    4:02 p.m.

    A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Oglethorpe and Madison counties until 4:45 p.m.

    3:30 p.m.

    A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Rabun County until 4:15 p.m.

    3:27 p.m.

    A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Clarke, Jackson and Oglethorpe and Madison counties until 3:28 p.m.

    Here is what you need to know:

    • Scattered showers and storms in the forecast for today
    • Mainly dry and very warm weather on Tuesday
    • The chance for isolated strong or severe storms begins on Wednesday
    • Very warm this week with highs approaching 90 degrees by mid-week
