    Tulare County's top high school spring sports performers for Week 13

    The Times-Delta/Advance-Register will recognize Tulare County's top high school sports performers on a weekly basis this school year.

    Coaches, please submit your results/top performers after each game, match or meet to sports reporter Vongni Yang at vyang2@gannett.com to have players highlighted.

    This story will be updated throughout the week with that information.

    May 1

    Baseball

    • Jordan Rhyner, El Diamante: Rhyner pitched a complete game to lead the Miners to a 3-0 win over Monache. He had five strikeouts in a one-hit winning performance and also had a hit, run and RBI.
    • Matthew Dykstra, El Diamante: Dykstra had a hit, run and stolen base.
    • Elijah Contreras, El Diamante: Contreras finished with a hit.
    • Aden Robles, El Diamante: Robles added a hit.

    • Erik Rico, Redwood: Rico fired eight strikeouts in five innings and allowed just one run in a 12-1 rout of Porterville. He also had two hits, two runs, a walk and a pair of stolen bases.
    • Vincent Barba, Redwood: Barba went 2-for-4 hitting with a run, four RBIs and two stolen bases.
    • Jaxon Griffiths, Redwood: Griffiths finished with three hits, two runs and three RBIs.
    • Isaac Esquivel, Redwood: Esquivel had two hits, two runs and an RBI.
    • Cruz Rodriguez, Redwood: Rodriguez smacked two doubles with a run, and two RBIs.
    • CJ Ramos, Redwood: Ramos had two RBIs.

    Baseball

    • Zach Simmon, Central Valley Christian: Simmon fired nine strikeouts in five innings to lead the Cavaliers to a 6-0 shutout win over Washington Union. He also went 2-for-4 hitting with a double, RBI and run.
    • Jared Griffith, CVC: Griffith did not allow a hit in one inning pitched.
    • Macade Atkins, CVC: Atkins hurled two strikeouts in a frame.
    • Dominic Alvarado, CVC: Alvarado launched a home run and finished with two RBIs and a run. He had two hits.
    • Case Anker, CVC: Anker had two hits, an RBI and a run.
    • Caden Ritchie, CVC: Ritchie added two hits and two stolen bases.
    • Teague Brandenburg, CVC: Brandenburg posted a pair of hits with a run and stolen base.
    • Miles Munger, Exeter: Munger, the winning pitcher, blasted a home run and scored three runs to help the Monarchs beat Immanuel 15-8.
    • Cade McElmoyl, Exeter: McElmoyl hit a grand slam and finished with five RBIs.
    • Ruben Ruiz, Exeter: Ruiz went 3-for-3 hitting with five runs.
    • Jaycob Molina, Exeter: Molina had three hits.
    • Chi'el Sanchez, Tulare Western: Sanchez registered two hits, including a double, a run and two RBIs in a 5-4 loss to Lemoore.
    • Justin Cuellar, Tulare Western: Cuellar tossed 10 strikeouts in five innings, and allowed just two hits and a run. He also had a hit and drew a walk.
    • William Masterson, Tulare Western: Masteron had a hit and RBI.
