    Man shot, killed by North Carolina homeowner after report of trespassing

    CARTHAGE, N.C. (WGHP) — Deputies are investigating after a man was shot and killed by a homeowner following a trespassing call at a North Carolina home.

    At around 8:15 p.m. on Friday, deputies came to a home on Dowd Road in Moore County after getting a report of trespassing.

    At the scene, investigators found a man who was dead from a gunshot wound following “an encounter with the property owner”

    The investigation remains active and ongoing.
