1 dead after car rolls several times in Isabella County

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A one-car crash in Isabella County took one man’s life this Saturday, May 4.

Isabella County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash Saturday near the intersection of Blanchard and Britton roads.

First responders found the 62-year-old Blanchard man dead at the scene, having suffered multiple injuries, when they arrived.

An investigation showed that the man had consumed a high volume of alcohol before getting upset with family and leaving in the 1997 Ford Expedition, ICSO said.

The crash happened not far from the home, said Isabella County Sheriff Michael J. Main. The car rolled over several times, ejecting the man.

Besides alcohol, speed and no seat belt were also factors in the crash, Main said.

Isabella County Central Dispatch, Millbrook Rolland and Fremont Fire/Rescue departments, and Mobile Medical Response were also involved in the response to the crash.
