    Chesterfield Public Library hosting mental health resource fair May 14

    CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — In observance of Mental Health Awareness Month, the Chesterfield Public Library and Chesterfield County’s Mental Health Support Services Department are hosting a mental health resource fair.

    The fair is free to the public and will allow visitors to speak with representatives from local and nonprofit mental health organizations, as well as Substance Abuse Free Environment (SAFE), Richmond Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Chesterfield County Public Schools, HCA Tucker Pavilion, Bon Secours Behavioral Health and more.

    There will also be workshops on recognizing and responding to signs of mental health issues at 3:15 p.m. and 5:15 p.m., as well as workshops at 4:15 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. on services available through the Chesterfield Mental Health Support Services.

    Those interested in attending a workshop are asked to register ahead of time.

    The fair will take place from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, at the new Midlothian Library, which is located at 100 Millworks Crossing in the Midlothian area of Chesterfield.
