    Serious injuries in 3-vehicle crash in Ward County

    MINOT, ND ( KXNET ) — On May 2, around 8:16 p.m., there was a three-vehicle crash approximately 10 miles southeast of Minot on Highway 52 near mile marker 106.

    A Ford F-150, being driven by a 73-year-old man from Bergen, was eastbound on Highway 52 near mile marker 106 in the left lane passing a semi truck in heavy rain.

    A Chevrolet Cavalier, driven by a juvenile male from Sawyer, lost control while driving eastbound on Highway 52 attempting to pass the same semi as the F-150.

    64-year-old Minot woman taken to hospital after crash

    The Cavalier slid sideways into the westbound lanes in front of a Chrysler Pacifica, driven by an 82-year-old man from Sawyer, with an 81-year-old woman as a passenger.

    The westbound Pacifica struck the Cavalier on its driver side and debris from the crash struck the 2021 Ford F-150.

    The juvenile sustained serious injuries and was transported to Trinity Hospital in Minot.

    The 82-year-old man and the 81-year-old woman sustained minor injuries and were transported to Trinity Hospital in Minot. The man from Bergen was not injured.

    The crash remains under investigation by the NDHP.
