The annual Idaho Gives event, which ended Thursday, this year raised a record $4.2 million, according to a news release from Idaho Nonprofit Center.

In four days, Idahoans plus donors from all over the world gave $4,214,099 to support the state’s nonprofit organizations.

Kevin Bailey, CEO of the Idaho Nonprofit Center, shared the importance of this milestone: “We had been on the cusp of the $4 million mark since 2020. It is a testament of the generosity of Idahoans and their dedication to their home state.”

Idaho Gives was celebrated in all regions of the Gem State with community block parties and strategic partnerships to better support local nonprofits, according to the release.

“It’s always exciting to see the total amount raised at the end of Idaho Gives,” said Laura Smith, Vice President of Public Relations at Idaho Central Credit Union (ICCU), this year’s presenting sponsor. “But more impressive is the number of individual donors that came together to make it happen!”

Created and run by the INC, Idaho Gives is a statewide giving event held every year since 2013. Over those 12 years, Idaho Gives has donated $27.7 million to Idaho’s charitable nonprofits.

People from 68 different countries have donated, including from Mongolia, Singapore, Romania, and the Netherlands. Donations also came in from all 50 states, according to the release. The 646 organizations that registered to participate, along with individuals and others, made a total of 22,621 donations to reach the final amount.

Donors in Ada County raised over $2.85 million for the effort. Canyon County donors contributed just over $200,000.

RedBuilt LLC, headquartered in Boise, was a participating organization.

“RedBuilt has been matching our associate’s contributions since 2017. We appreciate the opportunity to directly support the variety of causes that matter to our associates,” said Shanna Wheeler, RedBuilt corporate controller.
