Lewis Ginter Spring Plant sale taking place, today, tomorrow

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in Henrico County is hosting its yearly plant sale today and tomorrow, featuring more than 40 vendors.

Plants native to Virginia, as well as succulents, daylilies, edibles, perennials, herbs and more can be found. In addition to the numerous varieties of plants, vendors will be selling other items like eggs, pottery, honey and gardening tools.

“If you go to a lot of garden centers, you’re going to find some good plants but you’re not gonna find some of the more weird or off-the-wall things,” said Eli Green from Full Pocket Farm . “If you come here, you get a lot of vendors who these are their passions and this is what they like to do and what they are really into.”

The sale is taking place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, May 3, and Saturday, May 4. According to Lewis Ginter’s website , the sale is taking place in Parking Lot B and has no admission fee, but visitors who would like to enter the garden have to pay admission. Dogs are allowed at the sale but not inside the garden.
