PLANNING THE NEXT 24 HOURS: There is some patchy fog across most of southern Wisconsin early Friday morning. The most dense of fog is east of Madison. Fog will dissipate as we head into late morning. There will be plenty of sunshine Friday afternoon with highs approaching 80 degrees. Expect a mild Friday night, with another chance of patchy fog.

EXTENDED FORECAST: Highs from Friday through Monday could reach 80 degrees each day. The next round of showers and storms looks to hold off until the weekend is over, with showers and storms expected both Monday and Tuesday. Some of these storms could be on the strong side. Temperatures will drop a bit following the storms, but highs will still be comfortably in the lower 70s/upper 60s.
