    Randy Travis releasing his first new music since 2013 stroke: 'It’s been a while'

    Legendary Country artist, Randy Travis , has revealed new music is on the way for the first time since he suffered a stroke in 2013.

    The 64-year-old took to social media to tell fans the exciting news revealing a brand-new single titled, “Where That Came From,” will be available beginning May 3.

    "It’s been a while since my last new recording," Travis captioned below footage of himself in the studio. “I’m excited to share that this Friday, May 3, I will be releasing my first brand new studio recording in more than a decade, 'Where That Came From.'"

    Travis promised fans more details behind the song and its creation in the coming weeks, while also leaving the door open for even more new music in the future. “You’ll hear much more about the special team of folks who came together to help make this magical moment in my career possible in the coming week,” he continued. “In the meantime, just know that when it comes to me singing songs for you, there’s always more where that came from. Thank you for singing along all these years.”

    Fans and fellow artists filled the comment feed with love and support towards Travis including words from Cole Swindell , Old Dominion ’s Matt Ramsey and many more. “One of the greatest voices of all time is silent no longer,” wrote singer-songwriter, James Otto. “I can’t wait to hear what y’all are working on.”
