Untangling the vines and uncorking regional flavors, Explore Tualatin Valley is raising a glass to local wineries this Oregon Wine Month.

Spring Sips starts Friday, May 10, paying tribute to Tualatin Valley's rich wine culture and eateries. Featuring curated wine flights and vibrant festivities, the week-long celebration culminates on May 19 with the third annual Pink! Rosé Festival in Hillsboro.

"Spring Sips is a celebration of everything we love about Tualatin Valley: world-class wineries, delicious cuisine and a warm, welcoming community,” Dave Parulo, president and CEO of Explore Tualatin Valley, said in a release.

    Flight Week

The celebration kicks off with Flight Week, which will see participating restaurants across Washington County offer a curated flight of three Tualatin Valley wines for $20.

From waffles to pasta, residents can indulge in a variety of cuisines while branching out to sip on the fruity, robust flavors of wines from the area.

“Flight Week is a chance for visitors and locals alike to explore Tualatin Valley’s diverse culinary restaurant scene and taste wines that are grown and made right outside that restaurant's doors,” Parulo said.

The following restaurants will be participating in the event:

    Pink! Rosé Festival

Get ready to toast to rosé during Tualatin Valley’s pink-centric festival, bringing residents from Washington County and beyond to the Hillsboro Ballpark from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 19.

Starting off as a small initiative by Forest Grove’s Apolloni Vineyards, the event has blossomed into a vibrant celebration of flavor throughout Tualatin Valley. Last year attracted more than 750 attendees, and organizers are expecting an even larger turnout in 2024.

Attendees are invited to taste the latest rosé releases from 25 Tualatin Valley wineries while embracing the verdant landscape of the ballpark, listening to musical performances and trying mouth-watering dishes.

General admission is $50, which includes six tasting tokens and a commemorative wine tumbler. For $70, guests can get VIP access — offering eight tasting tokens, a wine tumbler and early entry to the festival.

Additional tasting tokens will also be available for purchase, and designated driver tickets are free.
