WASHINGTON, N.C. (WNCT) — Beaufort County Schools has told WNCT’s Courtney Cortright that one of its high schools has a new principal.

Isaac Lister was listed on Wednesday night as the principal of Washington High School. He began the 2023-24 school year in the position. Cortright contacted BCS after hearing that he was no longer listed as the principal.

A statement to WNCT on Wednesday from BCS Public Information Officer Kristen Riddle said, “Mr. Isaac Lister is an employee of Beaufort County Schools. He is currently working as an Instructional Support Leader (ISL) at the Alternative Learning Program housed at Southside High School. Mr. Rick Anderson is the interim principal at Washington High School through June 30, 2024. The superintendent is working on a plan of action to staff the WHS principal position for July 1, 2024.”
