Peninsula Boys & Girls Club launches new summer campaign to raise funds, empower youth

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — A new initiative by the Boys & Girls Club of the Virginia Peninsula is working to empower the youth in the area.

The Future Forward Summer Campaign started on April 23 and goes until August 17.

The goal of the campaign is to raise $200,000. It includes peer to peer fundraising where supporters can become their own fundraiser to help the cause.

The money is used for operational and personnel expenses, as well as providing financial aid through program scholarships.

“With your support, we can ensure that thousands of Peninsula youth have access to enriching programming and opportunities that will shape their futures,” said Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula President & CEO, Hal Smith. “Every gift goes directly towards creating a brighter tomorrow for these young individuals, fostering their growth, and nurturing their potential.”
