    Memorial service for fallen police officers to be held in Huntingdon

    HUNTINGDON COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — As part of the 2024 National Police Week, the borough of Huntingdon is holding a memorial service for officers who fell in the line of duty.

    The Huntingdon Borough Police Department will hold the service on Tuesday, May 14 at 11 a.m. at the First Responders Monument at the Penn Street entrance to Portstown Park. Huntingdon County law enforcement agencies and the public are invited to attend.

    This year, the names of 282 officers killed in the line of duty are being added to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C.

    The names of six officers from Pennsylvania will be among those added.
