    VDOT seeks feedback from Hanover County community on a study for improvement on Chamberlayne Road

    HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is seeking feedback from the public on a transportation study regarding possible improvements on Chamberlayne Road in Hanover County.

    According to the organization, the study zooms in on concepts that target the identified needs like capacity preservation, safety improvement, infrastructures for pedestrians and bicycles, transit access and travel demand management for 1.3 miles of Chamberlayne Road.

    VDOT invites the community to learn more and take an online survey , available between now through Monday, May 13. The survey also has a translation tool for other languages.

    The input received from the community from the survey will help the study team refine recommendations for possible improvements, according to VDOT.

    VDOT said the study is conducted as a part of the Project Pipeline program, which identifies cost-effective solutions to Virginia’s transportation needs.

    According to the organization, the study is expected to be complete by the summer of 2024.
