Tulare County has added some more development firepower to its team with the hiring of Alida Verduzco Silva as economic development manager.

Verduzco Silva joins the Tulare County Resource Management Agency (RMA) from a previous public service role with the City of Porterville, as well as health care marketing roles with Sierra View Medical Center and Adventist Health.

“We are confident that Alida’s collaborative spirit and expertise will be a valuable asset to the RMA team,” said Associate Director of the RMA Michael Washam. “Her experience working within Tulare County and the greater Central Valley region, coupled with her understanding of the economic landscape, positions her very well to contribute to the continued success of our region.”

Washam works closely with RMA Director Reed Schenke to provide direction and support for the County’s Economic Development Office , according to a news release.

Tulare County’s Economic Development Office was established in 2012 and works with site selectors, business decision-makers, companies and stakeholders worldwide. The office plays a crucial role in attracting investment and fostering development within the region, according to the release.

The Economic Development Office also houses the County’s Film Commission. Through the Discover Tulare County Campaign, the County also supports efforts to boost regional tourism.

Verduzco Silva holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Craig School of Business at California State University, Fresno, and associate degrees from Porterville College.

Verduzco Silva’s immediate focus is on strengthening the Economic Development Office team and establishing a clear vision for the future, according to the release.

“By prioritizing team development and vision setting, she’s laying the groundwork for impactful initiatives that will benefit Tulare County’s economic growth and prosperity,” the release said.
