    Temperatures tumble overnight, dry weather sticks around for Sunday

    It will be cool but bright this evening. Temperatures tumble overnight dropping lows close to the freezing mark or just below in some areas.

    The National Weather Service has issued Freeze and Frost alerts from 2 a.m. - 8 a.m. for our area.

    A Freeze Warning has been issued for Butler, Armstrong, Lawrence, Indiana, Clarion, Venango, Forest, the ridges of Westmoreland and Fayette counties. As well as a Frost Advisory for Allegheny, Beaver, Washington, Westmoreland, Fayette, Greene, Monongalia and Preston counties.

    Make sure you cover up plants and flowers or bring them in to protect them.

    The dry weather will continue to be dry Sunday and cool with highs in the 50s.

    Warmer start to the week with dry conditions until midweek. Rain returns Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
