    Third Person Charged With Attempting To Smuggle Meth Into Floyd County Prison

    A former Floyd County Prison inmate is the third person charged with attempting to smuggle contraband into the facility through a drug drop at the Floyd County Recycling Center in December 2022, reports state.

    According to Floyd County Jail reports:

    Jamieson Jamal Lawrence, 25, is charged with felony conspiracy to violate the controlled substances act, possession of marijuana and meth with intent to distribute and possession of a controlled substance near a school.

    Lawrence, along with inmate Anthony McCoy, conspired with Anne Lohse to bring 32 grams of meth and 257 grams of marijuana into the prison. Lohse is seen on camera driving a white sedan and dropping a bag containing the contraband into a garbage can in the recycling center. Lohse was arrested in January 2023 and McCoy was arrested in October 2023. Both were released on bond.

    Jordan remained in jail without bond as of Thursday.
