“Hacksaw” Jim Duggan Undergoes Emergency Surgery Following Sudden Hospitalization

In worrying news, it has been confirmed by “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan’s wife via Facebook that her 69-year-old husband was hospitalized on Friday and had to undergo emergency surgery on Saturday morning. No further information was shared regarding the sad event, but prayers were welcomed.

“Jim was taken to the hospital and admitted yesterday evening. He had emergency surgery this morning and everything went well. We will reschedule tomorrow in Utica, MI for a later time. We welcome your prayers and we will continue to provide updates. Thank you, Debra”

Unfortunately, the former WWE and WCW star has had multiple health emergencies over the years, dating back to being diagnosed with kidney cancer in 1998. Happily, he overcame that; however, in 2018, he was diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat requiring surgery. Then, later in the same year, he underwent two further operations for what was described as a severe infection. Additionally, as of 2021, he has again been battling cancer, and while initially thought to have been successfully treated, he would later disclose that it had returned.
