The Green Bay Packers have a ton of youth on offense, but there's also a ton of upside.

Part of that upside comes in the form of rookie tight end Luke Musgrave, who was selected with the 42nd overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Musgrave is an athletic, dynamic player that has all the potential in the world to do big things in the league.

"They've got some serious speed, both Jayden [Reed] and Luke [Musgrave]," Pro Bowl offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins said on Monday's episode of Good Morning Football . "Just being able to see them out there running, getting vertical up the field, and running routes - it really put a smile on my face. I'm ready to see what's in store for those guys [and] I feel like the future is bright for those guys...

"... Luke Musgrave and Jayden Reed - I have high expectations for those guys in Year 1, for sure."

Learning the tight end position is tough and it typically takes time before players begin their ascension. The Packers can't really afford to play that game with Musgrave, however, mostly because of what they're trying to do on offense.

Running more 12 personnel is a good idea for a team that has two running backs like the Packers do with Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon, but it's an even better idea when considering what Musgrave brings to the offense. Even third-rounder, Tucker Kraft.

Both players can catch and block, with Musgrave being a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses. Meaning, neither player will tip the offense's hand when on the field.

And if Musgrave can hit the ground running, he has an excellent shot to become the first rookie tight end not just in franchise history, but in the entire history of the NFC North to record 500+ receiving yards in Year 1 since the AFL/NFL merger.

And, if things go really well, Musgrave can become just the second rookie tight end in NFL history to record 1,000+ receiving yards. Atlanta Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts is the unicorn that recorded 1,026 yards back in 2021.

Don't rule out Kraft, either. Both players could have a big year, which would likely mean the offense is having a big year, as well.
