Patrisse Cullors, co-founder of the "Black Lives Matter" movement, shared in a recent post to social media that Jussie Smollett had been sleeping on a restraint bed since he was sentenced to five months in county jail.

A restraint bed prevents limb or body motion in bed to prevent a patient from falling out of bed and is used to avoid actions of self-harm.

"I'm in Chicago, and was able to see Jussie today," she says in the video. "He's strong, but what's happening inside is just unacceptable."

She added, "Today is the first day that he's going to be able to get an actual bed. He's been sleeping on a restraint bed. They've also filed for him to be released, filed to the appellate court. Hopefully, we'll know later this week, no later than Wednesday."

Smollett, who is Black and gay, alleged two MAGA supporters punched him, kicked him, used racist and homophobic slurs, bleach in his face and wrapped a noose around his neck.

The investigation into the attack led to the arrest of Abimbola and Olabingo Osundairo. Under oath, the brothers admitted that Smollett had paid them $3,500 to stage the attack.

Smollett was found guilty of five of the six charges against him, including felony disorderly conduct. He was found not guilty of aggravated battery.

The judge handed down a blistering verdict of the "Empire" star's behavior.

"There's a side of you that has this arrogance and selfishness and narcissism that's just disgraceful," Cook County Circuit Judge James Linn told Smollett while announcing the sentence. "You're not a victim of a racial hate crime, you're not a victim of a homophobic hate crime. You're just a charlatan pretending to be a victim of a hate crime, and that's shameful."
