South Carolina Sisters Killed in Double Homicide; Suspect Later Shot Himself

Two sisters were found dead after a shooting in Lexington County, South Carolina, on the 200 block of Woodcote Drive near Highway 321.

Jaimey Green, 20, and Jazzmyne Green, 25, were pronounced dead at the scene due to gunshot wounds, according to Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher. Deputies said a neighbor called 911 around 9:15 a.m. after hearing gunfire.

"A neighbor heard gunshots and found two victims on the front lawn and called the authorities," said Captian Adam Myrick.

Jazzmyne had two boys and Jaimey was the mother of a daughter.

"I'm trying to process it all," said family member Gwendolyn Dwier told a local news outlet, WISTV. "I was praying it wasn't true, but it is."

Outside the scene of the crime

Late Wednesday afternoon, police officers found the suspected gunman dead in his car parked in Richland County. He was later identified as 27-year-old Tyrone Durham, Jr. The Richland County Coroner's Office said his cause of death appeared to be from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

One of the victims was reportedly trying to break up with Durham prior to the killings.

Durham's criminal record showed that he had multiple arrests ---one being a domestic violence charge from 2016, which is still pending in the domestic violence court.

"I fear for him. Death isn't the end. He still has God to answer to," said Dwier. "Love one another and put down the guns. It's just too much, just too much."

Investigators said Durham was the only suspect in the case.
