Homeless Serial Killer Charged in Michigan Cold Case

Michigan State News by Betty Smith

A killer finally brought to justice who was already accused of killing two Pennsylvania women is now being charged with the death of a Michigan woman from 2005.

Investigators received a tip months ago when police in Pennsylvania interviewed Harold Haulman III a resident in the area at that time when Ashley Parlier 21, was reported missing.

Haulman admitted to killing Parlier during interviews with detectives.

He told investigators he had assaulted her and knocked her unconscious after an argument then took her to a remote location where he repeatedly struck her with a piece of wood until she was lifeless.

Haulman, 43, is currently in custody in Pennsylvania additionally being charged with killing Tianna Phillips, 25, of Berwick, and Erica Shultz, 26, of Bloomsburg.

Phillips has been missing since 2018 and Schultz was found murdered earlier this year.

Although Haulman had been suspected of killing Parlier for months, they have yet to locate her remains.

Parlier's sister Nicole Campen was excited about the closure but wished it had come sooner before their parents passed.

    One more thing

Haulman was convicted of murder in Germany in the late 1990s, but the charges were subsequently reduced, and he was freed.

Germany should not have freed him. If they wouldn't have freed him these people would still be alive.
