    Oregon reports 1,026 new COVID-19 cases Thursday

    (PORTLAND, Ore.) The Oregon Health Authority reported 1,026 new confirmed or presumptive cases of COVID-19 and six new virus-related deaths on Thursday.

    The latest numbers bring the state’s total to 218,689 cases since the beginning of the pandemic. Oregon’s total COVID-19 death toll sits at 2,855.

    The three counties that saw the highest case counts Thursday include Jackson County with 111 cases, Umatilla County with 110 cases and Multnomah County, the state’s most populous county, with 95 cases.

    OHA also reported that hospitalizations are on the rise, with 285 Oregonians in the hospital with COVID-19. Of those patients, 84 are in intensive care units.

    As of Thursday, Oregon has administered 2,652,653 Pfizer doses, 1,782,367 Moderna doses and 180,441 Johnson & Johnson doses. More than 2.3 million Oregonians have completed a vaccine series.
