Since the pandemic has happened people are still uneasy about others not wearing a mask because the vaccine is still new.

The virus is still very much alive and in some states, people are able to walk around without a mask as long as they have been vaccinated.

On the other hand, it would be naive of us to think there are people who will not try to walk into places without a mask that are not vaccinated.

People will try anything to break the rules or to be able to feel as comfortable as possible. Just recently a young cashier at a supermarket was shot over having a dispute with a customer regarding a mask.

In defense, the supermarket deputy shot at the suspect to protect the cashier and the deputy ended up firing back.

In an article from Fox 5 Atlanta called "Cashier dead, deputy injured after dispute with man over a mask, GBI says" by Eric Perry and Fox 5 Atlanta Digital Team elaborated on how the situation escalated.

Eric Perry stated "It happened at the Big Bear Supermarket located at 2849 Candler Road in DeKalb County around 1:10 p.m. Authorities said the suspect, identified by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation as 30-year-old Victor Lee Tucker, was checking out when he got into an argument with the cashier over the mask.

Tucker then directed his fire at an off-duty Dekalb County Sheriff's Office deputy who was working a part-time security job at the store, investigators said. The deputy returned fire, investigators said, with both ended up being injured in the exchange of fire."

Both victims were rushed to the hospital to receive care, the cashier was pronounced dead and the store deputy is now stable.

Do you think the situation could have been handled differently?
