Knuk-N-Futz - Appetizers & Quick Bites - Taylor Mill, KY

My boyfriend picked this place out to try and I wasn't sure what to make of it. I can't say I'm entirely sold on the concept, but I think that's the point. Knuk-N-Futz is a quirky, odd place to eat. They are a "casual, American-owned, independently operated, family restaurant".

Their menu really shows off how quirky this place truly is, with item descriptions like "self-explanatory don't you think" and "consuming these will not be misconstrued as a relapse". It's definitely a good place to go if you want a laugh, some good food, and like watching sports with a crowd.

Look how vibrant their menu is! The descriptions are pretty fun, too. We ended up grabbing a small order of "bonelezz" wings with California Gold sauce ($7.29). We also got their snack sampler ($12.29) with "pizza stix", "unyun ringz", and "mac-n-cheez bitez". You can mix and match between different appetizers for this sampler. We also grabbed a side of ranch for $0.59.

The food was decent, but it wasn't out of this world. This is casual bar food and it was a decent, quick dinner. The onion rings had an okay crisp, the pizza rolls with marinara sauce were very yummy, and we enjoyed the mac and cheese bites. The wings were the highlight for us, which makes sense as Knuk-N-Futz mainly markets itself as a chicken wing stop. They actually have $0.60e boneless wings every Wednesday, whether you're dining in or grabbing takeout, which is a fantastic deal.

Knuk-N-Futz is really quirky. They have a strange-looking menu and restaurant, but the bar food is great. All their options are very affordable and remind me a bit of Applebee's. If you want to make your dining experience a bit safer during the pandemic, they also have a lovely outdoor patio you can eat at.

I can see this place as being a good option for watching sports games with the locals, but I wouldn't recommend it as a date night spot. That's not the vibe they're going for. We'll definitely be back on a Wednesday to pick up some $0.60e wings!
