Tampa is Encouraging Teens to Party Like it's 2019...if They Get Vaccinated

The City of Tampa Launches a 'Ticket to Outside' Campaign for Free Tickets to Local Attractions

The campaign is the City of Tampa's new effort to reduce hesitancy and increase COVID-19 vaccinations by using tickets as incentives to local attractions and events.

'Ticket To Outside' is said to be a traveling block party, equipped with a local DJ provided by Street Laced Promo. Local DJ Xplicid is rocking the turn tables at the Florida Aqurium event.

The first event in the 'Ticket To Outside' campaign is happening today, May 19, 2021. The Florida Aquarium is providing complimentary tickets to individuals ages 12 and older who receive a vaccination from the AdventHealth pop-up site until 5 p.m.

AdventHealth professionals are onsite administering the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine, which is approved for minors.

Every individual, not just teens receiving a vaccination during this all-day event will receive a free ticket to the Florida Aquarium.

Enjoy animal encounters, photo opportunities with mascot Tango, and chill out with penguins at the aquarium. Tickets can be used immediately to enter the aquarium or redeemed at a later date.

In order for minors to get a vaccine, parents or guardians of children ages 12 to 17 will need to bring a copy of their child's birth certificate, passport, or driver's license to show proof of age.

Ohio is giving out chances to be a millionaire if getting vaccinated. Florida will at best have great cities like Tampa with small budget initiatives to get folks to do what's best for us all. Getting outside safely again in a state of anti-maskers, anti-vaxxers, and a governor who released the mask-wearing mandate well before most US states is a challenge for Floridians who care to be a part of the solution to COVID-19.

Unfortunatley, in Florida there are more confirmed coronavirus cases than there are people that have been vaccinated to date. Over 2 million Floridians and 140K Tampanians had COVID-19, but only over 22K vaccines have been administered.
