According to Darkhorse Press, four men renting an Airbnb in Gulfport have been arrested on multiple drug trafficking charges following a shooting incident early. The arrest came after police responded to a report of gunfire at the residence, located in the 1100 block of 19th Street.

At approximately 4:17 a.m., officers arrived to find a victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. As they conducted a search of the property, they discovered 35-year-old Tedric Antonio Owens hiding under a bed with a firearm. Owens reportedly resisted arrest and assaulted a K9 officer during his apprehension.

A second victim, who had sustained a gunshot wound to the chest, was initially transported to a local hospital by a private vehicle before being airlifted to another medical facility. The individual is currently in stable condition.

The suspects, all from South Carolina, were staying at the Airbnb during the incident. A subsequent search of the house and a vehicle revealed three firearms, two of which were reported stolen, along with approximately 174 grams of marijuana, 1,011 dosage units of MDMA, and 84 grams of cocaine.

The individuals arrested and their charges are:

Tedric Antonio Owens, 35: Two counts of aggravated assault, one count of assault on a law enforcement officer, one count of trafficking cocaine, one count of trafficking MDMA, and one count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Christopher Emanuel Reese, 34: One count of trafficking cocaine, one count of trafficking MDMA, and one count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Demetrius Dontay Goodman, 36:** One count of trafficking cocaine, one count of trafficking MDMA, and one count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Laquavius Deshaun Wortherly, 36: One count of trafficking cocaine, one count of trafficking MDMA, and one count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

All suspects have been transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center, where they are being held pending bond proceedings set by Judge Patano.

The Gulfport Police Department is seeking additional information from the public. Anyone with details about the incident is urged to contact the department at 228-868-5959 or Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers at 877-787-5898.

"assaulted" a k9 officer? đŸ€Ł I hate that dogs are allowed to be used. because we all know cops will let them mercilessly bite black an brown ppl, and then when they react towards being bitten (like an normal human would) now its a crazy charge!
