Target, Starbucks and CVS Health are part of a growing number of retailers and restaurants moving to ease mask mandates for fully vaccinated customers — unless face coverings are required by local or state law.

According to CNBC, following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's announcement on Thursday that said fully vaccinated people will no longer have to wear face-coveringS indoors, many companies have changed their mask mandates.

Walmart, Trader Joe’s, Publix and Costco were among the first to allow mask-free shopping. Other companies like Home Depot, Gap and Ulta Beauty have said that they would keep their mask requirements while monitoring the latest developments.

CVS and Starbucks employees will still be required to wear masks while at work. Fully vaccinated employees at Target will not have to wear masks.
