(DETROIT) After her posts on social media over the weekend, and a confrontation with Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan on Tuesday, Duggan has agreed to meet with HGTV star Nicole Curtis to discuss her lawsuit against the Detroit Land Bank Authority (DLBA), according to WXYZ Detroit.

The meeting, scheduled to take place virtually on Thursday morning, was arranged after Curtis appeared on Duggan's community meeting webinar Tuesday evening.

Curtis has been involved in a lawsuit against the city regarding a Detroit home that she had purchased in 2017. Unknown to her at the time, however, the home had been sold to her illegally by the previous owners, and the DLBA put it up for sale after she had bought and renovated it.

This news from Tuesday's webinar comes after Duggan's recent comments on the matter, stating that the DLBA couldn't legally give Curtis the home. On the webinar, Curtis spoke to Duggan directly about her situation, and other issues that she has been having in Detroit.

"Mayor, obviously you've stated you're aware of our issues with the Detroit Land Bank authority, but most importantly today, I'm approaching this as a taxpayer in Detroit who can't even get city services to come out to one of our properties," Curtis said.

Curtis would then bring the conversation back to her lawsuit against the city, and question Duggan as to why he wouldn't meet with her and her team regarding the issue. Duggan would then agree to her request.

"I'd love to sit down with you this week, next week, and work through these things together," Duggan said. "The last time we got together, we did a lot, and I'd like to do it again."
