    2021-05-08

(MIAMI) Just off North Miami Avenue in Wynwood, lies the neighborhood’s newest cultural hub: The Oasis . This 35,000 square-foot outdoor courtyard features six restaurants in colorful shipping containers, an indoor/outdoor cocktail lounge, a fitness studio, and space for art, retail and live performances.

The food options are a mix of local names and international street cuisine. Buya Dumplings + Buns offers Asian street food, CHIKIN features fried chicken sandwiches, Mr. Mandolin boasts some Mediterranean representation, Prince Street Pizza will serve signature NYC-style pizza, and Los Buenos will have tacos.

But, the food is not the only noteworthy element at The Oasis. The venue has a unique colorful design that blends seamlessly with the rest of Wynwood. Sven Vogtland and Alan Drummond, two of the co-founders behind Coyo Taco ,1-800-Lucky, and the new hotel, Moxy South Beach are behind the venue’s management. During an interview with Local 10, they shared their plans to make The Oasis Miami’s new entertainment epicenter.  “The Tower Bar is this large tower that we wanted to put there as a beacon of Wynwood,” said Vogtland to Local 10. “So, when you land at Miami International Airport, or when you’re in any of the buildings or towers around, you’ll see this large container tower as kind of a landmark in the neighborhood.”

The venue is already attracting some of the biggest names in the music industry, but what makes The Oasis truly unique is the fact that it is also a food hall and an office building during the day. Besides, unlike night clubs which have strict 21+ policies,  guests must be 18 or older to purchase tickets at the concert venue, and people of all ages are welcomed to enter the rest of the courtyard.

After an invite-only opening weekend featuring acts with Major Lazor and Ludacris. The Oasis is officially open to the public on May 8th. Reggaeton star Rauw Alejandro and DJ Tiesto will be headlining the weekend performances.

Tickets for the event start at $70 and can be purchased at oasismiami.tixr.com.
