The Scituate Animal Shelter of Massachusetts recently introduced an adorable 8-year-old Beagle/Corgi mix named Bagel who is searching for his forever home. Described by the local animal shelter as being "overall fantastic" with an "excellent personality and love for all" Bagel would be the perfect addition to a family looking for a friendly furry friend.

"Bagel is a chunky fella working on shedding some pounds to help keep him healthy in his later adult years. Besides his weight, Bagel is in good shape! He is a bit stubborn and reluctant to work on his work out routine, but needs walks to help balance his diet," explains the Scituate Animal Shelter of Massachusetts. Bagel is noted as being fine with kids, though the animal shelter does explain he can be a little bossy with other dogs but is overall friendly. "We have not seen him with cats but he is a Beagle and may enjoy some games of chase with a feline friend."

Bagel would be the perfect companion for someone seeking a devoted friend, as he loves being around his people. The Scituate Animal Shelter states, "This mellow guy loves to be with his humans and will whine when they are out of site. He just loves love!"

It's not just potential adopters who are falling in love with Bagel. The shelter staff and volunteers have also been won over by his charming personality and lovable nature. "Bagel is a favorite amongst staff and volunteers, understandably so!" Explains the Scituate Animal Shelter. His endearing qualities and friendly demeanor have clearly made a lasting impression on those who care for him daily!

Potential adopters will be pleased to know that Bagel comes fully prepared for his new home. Bagel is up to date with his vaccines, neutered, and is described as being house-trained. Now all Bagel needs is a family willing to take a chance on him and give in the forever home he deserves.
