Dexter softball atop C North amidst best start since 2019
DEXTER - The softball regular season is nearly halfway done and Heal Point standings are starting to take shape. Atop C North is a team that can be considered a surprise. Dexter softball is 5-1 to start the year, their best since 2019, and ranked No. 1 in C North. The Tigers went 9-9 last year and reached the regional semis, but are now without their two All-PVC honorees from that team. Despite that, they are defeating their opponents by seven runs on average and hold two wins over 2023 regional finalists Mattanawcook Academy. For them, it boils down to the next-player-up mentality and just sticking to the fundamentals.
